Energy and RES
Energy law, including legal issues relating to renewable energy sources (RES), are areas that are among the key competences of CWW.
For over 25 years we have been advising public and private entrepreneurs involved in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, heat and natural gas, actively participating in Poland’s energy transformation.
I particular, we provide support in the following matters:
- Investments in the energy sector and relating to the construction of conventional and renewable energy sources in which domestic and foreign investors participate
- Agreements relating to the sale or trading, transmission and distribution of energy
- Proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office including: regulatory (tariffs, licensing) and disputes
- Issues related to competition and consumer protection in relations between energy companies and recipients
Services
We assist in the securing of tariffs and other administrative decisions in the energy sector
We prepare and negotiate agreements including distribution and sales agreement for “major recipients”
We advise in matters related to payment for quality fees for fuel and energy deliveries
We provide support relating to the acquisition of rights to real estate
We represent clients in dispute and regulatory proceedings before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office
We handle matters relating to competition and consumer protection before the President of the Energy Regulatory Office and Competition and Consumer Protection Court
We prepare opinions and studies relating to the energy law and associated regulations
We analyze compliance of Polish laws and drafts of such with the requirements of Community Law, in particular those relate to implementation of the principles of TPA and principles relating to a free power trading market
We handle privatization procedures working with State Treasury companies and private investors
We prepare acquisitions, merger and acquisition taking into account the specific nature of energy companies and requirements of a regulated market
